About Ken Lallemont, Owner of Timber Resources
As a native to Northern Wisconsin, Ken has always enjoyed the forest and its diversity. Along with his 14 brothers and sisters, Ken was raised on a small dairy farm where hard work was a daily fact of life and working in the woods was part of that experience. Logging since childhood, Ken’s vast experience working in the woods encompasses over 25 years.
As a certified Safety Trainer, Ken has been training groups and individuals since 1992. Along the way, he was privileged to work with and receive training from Soren Eriksson of Sweden, who established an internationally known safety training program call “Game of Logging”, which has 5 levels of training available.
Currently Ken works with loggers, landowners, arborists, college students, city groups, emergency medical technicians and power companies. He adjusts each program as needed to meet the needs and experience levels of individuals and companies. Each day, the group will cover new information, while practicing information already covered from previous days’training.
Through the years Ken has received numerous recognitions and awards including:
- 1995 First Place from the American Pulpwood Association for Writing Technical Programs.
- *1997 National Recognition for “outstanding full-time work in safety training”from the American Pulpwood Association. The H.H. Jefferson Memorial Safety award is given to recognize exemplary work efforts in promoting, developing, or administering logging, woodyard, or woodland safety activities.
Ken Says, “In 1999 I was given the honor of felling the Christmas tree for the White House lawn to welcome in the new century. This tree toured Wisconsin and other states on its way to the White House. It was the tallest Christmas tree cut for the White House to date.
